Statement of Faith

The Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God, the complete written revelation of Hid mind and will to humanity, and our infallible and all sufficient guide for salvation and for the Christian life.

There is only one God revealed in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.  These three have the same nature and are co-existent, co-equal, and co-eternal, yet distinct in personality.

The Lord Jesus Christ is truly God and truly man, born of a virgin and without sin.  Because of His sacrifice on the cross, He is the only substitute for sinners and the one mediator that can  bring reconciliation between a holy God and sinful man. He was buried, rose bodily from the dead he now ministers as the head of the Church.

Satan exists as an evil personality , the orginator of sin, the arch-enemy of God and humanity.

Mankind was  created in the image and after the likeness of God, but fell away through sin.  As a consequence, the total depravity of our nature has been transmitted to the entire human race and we are under God’s condemnation and eternal judgment.

Our salvation from eternal judgement is by grace, a gift of God through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone, apart from any good works of righteouness or self effort.  This process involves our repentance and regeneration by the Holy Spirit.  Each believer is indwelt and sealed by the Holy Spirit and is eternally secure in their salvation.

The Lord Jesus Christ will return personally and imminently take His Church out of this world to be with Him.

For eternity, there will be a bodily ressurection of the dead. The believer will live with Christ forever; and the unbeliever will experience eternal, conscious punishment.

The Church is comprised of Christians , all who have believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour. The local church is the expression of the church universal  and gathers primarily for communion, worship, prayer, fellowship, edification, and evangelism.
